Sushi chef-KSA Based
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Sushi Chef with proven experience in the Saudi Arabian market to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preparing high-quality sushi, sashimi, and related Japanese dishes while maintaining international standards and adapting to local market preferences.
Note: Filipino nationality is preferred; however, all nationalities are welcome to apply.
Saudi residency is mandatory, and applicants must provide a professional portfolio of previous work.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and related Japanese menu items in line with company standards.
-Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation of all sushi products.
-Prepare ingredients including rice, seafood, sauces, and garnishes according to approved recipes and hygiene standards.
-Develop new sushi concepts and seasonal menu items that align with customer preferences in the Saudi market.
-Manage daily sushi kitchen operations, including prep schedules and production planning.
-Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with KSA regulations.
-Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
-Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to support menu development and special events.
-Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-Saudi Residency (Iqama) is mandatory.
-Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Sushi Chef, with hands-on experience in the Saudi market.
-Filipino nationality preferred; all nationalities are welcome to apply.
-Strong understanding of local customer preferences and market trends in KSA.
-Experience with various sushi styles (e.g., Maki, Nigiri, Sashimi, Uramaki, specialty rolls).
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
-Strong attention to detail, knife skills, and creativity in presentation.
Portfolio Requirement
-Applicants must provide a professional portfolio showcasing previous work.
-Portfolio may include high-quality photos, menus, concept work, or signature sushi creations.
-Experience working with restaurants, hotels, or Japanese cuisine concepts in KSA is highly preferred.
